The successor to Courchevel leather, Epsom is an embossed calfskin with a fine grain and subtle sheen. It absorbs colour well and the rigid nature of the leather means it is often used for Sellier style bags.

Hermès Colour

Hermès Mauve Sylvestre is a pretty pastel pink with a soft lavender undertone, introduced in 2019 and inspired by delicate wildflowers. It most commonly appears in Epsom or Swift leathers.

A vibrant yellow-green from 2011 – a great pop of colour.

Chai is a soft, warm neutral that blends the creamy richness of milky tea with subtle beige and caramel undertones. Like many Hermes shades, the sophistication of the colour can take you by surprise once you have seen it a few times. It was introduced in 2022 as part of Hermès’ modern neutral palette, it was made in very small quantities but has been highly sought after by those in the know. Chai offers a lighter alternative to classic browns like Gold or Fauve, while still maintaining warmth and depth.

Hardware

Hermès Palladium hardware is made of solid brass, giving weight and durability, and then plated in precious metal. Palladium belongs to the platinum group of metals and has a brighter and whiter look than silver. More precious than gold, palladium is hard wearing and scratch-resistant.
