Lilac Blue London has many years of experience working with Hermès bags, and has offered a trusted handbag authentication service for more than 10 years. We have trained several leading auction houses in the authentication and identification of Hermès pieces.

Book a 45-minute appointment on a Monday morning at the Pavilion Club, 64 Knightsbridge. Bring your bag and wait while our team examines it. Up to two bags can be seen in one appointment.

What you receive
If the bag is believed to be made by Hermès, you receive a Certificate of Authenticity with a QR code linking to the certificate on a web page.
If the bag is not made by Hermès, you receive a letter explaining this. Please note: we do not include a breakdown of all the factors contributing to our conclusion.
If you require a valuation, please let us know and it will be included with the certificate.
Fees
- Online, Hermès Birkin or Kelly: £150
- In person, standard leathers: £300 per bag
- In person, exotic skins: £500 per bag

Online authentication is for the Hermès Birkin and Kelly in standard leathers. Exotic skins and every other Hermès model are authenticated in person.
Choose the Birkin or Kelly authentication, then follow the guided photo steps on your phone, with an example for each shot. Your photos save as you go, so you can stop and continue later. You pay once the photos are done, and our team may ask for a few more photos before giving an opinion.
Appointments are 45 minutes on Monday mornings at the Pavilion Club, 64 Knightsbridge, London SW1X 7JF. Bring your bag and wait while our team examines it. Up to two bags can be seen in one appointment; three or four bags take a double appointment.
No. If you would rather not take the photos yourself, book an in-person appointment instead.
A Certificate of Authenticity with a QR code linking to its online record if the bag is believed to be made by Hermès, or a letter if it is not. A valuation can be included on request.
