Authentication and Valuation Services
Lilac Blue London has many years of experience working with Hermès bags, and has offered a trusted handbag authentication service for more than 10 years. We have trained several leading auction houses in the authentication and identification of Hermès pieces.
Please note, we only carry out authentications in person, we do not authenticate from photographs. Bags must be left with us for 24-48 hours to allow for a thorough inspection.
What you receive
If the bag is believed to be made by Hermes you receive a Certificate of Authenticity includes a QR code linking to the certificate on a web page.
If the bag in not made by Hermes, you receive a letter explaining this. Please note: we do not include a breakdown of all the factors contributing to our conclusion.
If you require a valuation, please let us know and the valuation will be included with the certificate.
Authentication Fees
- Standard: £200 plus VAT
- Exotics: £400 plus VAT
Drop off and delivery
Bags may be brought to us on Monday mornings in Knightsbridge. A collection service in Central London is also available.Items may be collected the following Tuesday or Wednesday or returned to you by courier. This is free of charge in Central London.
You will be emailed confirmation that the bag is in our possession and is fully insured while we have them.
Please be aware that this is an independent authentication service reflecting the insight gained from years of working with Hermès bags. While it remains an expert opinion, it is not a guarantee of authenticity. Lilac Blue London is not affiliated with or certified by Hermès in any way. Clients agree to release Lilac Blue London from any and all liability resulting from this service.
