Hermès Style & Size
Designed in 1959 by Catherine Chaillett and named after her daughter, the Hermes Constance is practical, stylish and versatile, with an adjustable shoulder strap. It is perfectly sized for essentials — phone, small wallet, keys, and lipstick — and ideal for both day and evening wear. The bag has a rigid, rectangular silhouette that holds its shape and the instantly recognisable H clasp.
Hermès Material
Known as Gulliver until it was discontinued in 1999, this leather was reintroduced in 2005 as Swift. It has a fine grain which is soft to the touch and the ability to absorb dyes and reflect the light make it very popular. The drawback to Swift is that it is easily scratched so needs careful handling.
Hermès Colour
Inspired by the Japanese cherry blossom, Rose Sakura is a delicate pastel pink most commonly seen in Swift leather, which beautifully enhances the vibrancy of the colour.
Hardware
Hermès Palladium hardware is made of solid brass, giving weight and durability, and then plated in precious metal. Palladium belongs to the platinum group of metals and has a brighter and whiter look than silver. More precious than gold, palladium is hard wearing and scratch-resistant.
