Hermès Style & Size
The Mini Kelly II, introduced in around 2018, followed an earlier mini Kelly that existed in vintage styles from the 1980s and 1990s. With room for only the essentials the Kelly 20 has traditionally been seen as an evening bag, but the addition of a shoulder strap lends versatility, making it an increasingly popular choice for daytime wear as well.
Hermès Material
Known as Gulliver until it was discontinued in 1999, this leather was reintroduced in 2005 as Swift. It has a fine grain which is soft to the touch and the ability to absorb dyes and reflect the light make it very popular. The drawback to Swift is that it is easily scratched so needs careful handling.
Hermès Colour
Jaune de Naples is a refined, luminous yellow that draws its inspiration from the historic Naples yellow pigment used in classical European art. Introduced by Hermès in the Spring/Summer 2019 collection, it provides a great pop of colour.
Hardware
Hermès Palladium hardware is made of solid brass, giving weight and durability, and then plated in precious metal. Palladium belongs to the platinum group of metals and has a brighter and whiter look than silver. More precious than gold, palladium is hard wearing and scratch-resistant.
