Hermès Style & Size
The first Hermes handbag with a zip closure, the Bolide Classic was designed in 1923 for drivers. It’s a very structured bag with a rounded shape giving a distinctive silhouette. The Classic version of the Bolide often has an oval shaped piece of leather on one side, originally allowing for a monogram.
Hermès Material
The successor to Courchevel leather, Epsom is an embossed calfskin with a fine grain and subtle sheen. It absorbs colour well and the rigid nature of the leather means it is often used for Sellier style bags.
Hermès Colour
An orange with a brown tone, it takes its name from the clay of tennis courts such as Roland Garros. Another great orange tone alongside Feu and Orange Poppy.
Jaune Citron is a newer colour from Hermes, a crisp and bright yellow, with a subtle green undertone. Perfect for summer or to brighten darker winter days.
Hardware
Hermès Palladium hardware is made of solid brass, giving weight and durability, and then plated in precious metal. Palladium belongs to the platinum group of metals and has a brighter and whiter look than silver. More precious than gold, palladium is hard wearing and scratch-resistant.
