Hermès Style & Size

The Hermès Birkin 25 is the scaled down version of Hermès’ most iconic handbag. Lined with chevre leather and featuring both a zip and slip pocket there’s enough room for a phone, wallet, keys, and small hairbrush, but not a lot else. It looks beautiful and dainty. Small people or those with very petite hands, can usually pass their hands through handles of a size 25, otherwise it is usually carried in the hand.

Hermès Material

One of Hermès’ most recognisable leathers, Togo is a supple, pebbled leather and features a distinctive vertical grain that is slightly raised to the touch. Although lightweight it holds its shape well and has the advantage of being resistant to scratches and can even withstand a little light rain.

Hermès Colour

Named after the colour of the famous Burberry trench coat, being darker than Argile and with browner tones.

An older colour, Bougainvillea is a warm pinky red. It hasn’t featured in the Hermes colour charts for some years so it’s most likely to be found on preloved bags.

Hardware

Hermès Palladium hardware is made of solid brass, giving weight and durability, and then plated in precious metal. Palladium belongs to the platinum group of metals and has a brighter and whiter look than silver. More precious than gold, palladium is hard wearing and scratch-resistant.
